Vintage AYNSLEY PINK CABBAGE ROSE CUP & SAUCER Rare Black Bolorway

  

DARK PINK CABBAGE ROSES on a dramatic black background. This set likely most dates from the 1940s.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer; both pass the bone china ping test. No wear to the floral transfer noted. A few pin prick spots of gold missing on edge of saucer.

A couple of pin pricks of kiln debris underglaze on cup interior. There are no scuffs to the black background which are commonly found suggesting this set did not receive much, if any, use. (white spots on photos are camera flash). Cup measures 2 5/8" tall at sides and is 4" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/4 across.

Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green with pattern number B4103 handpainted in dark red as shown in photo. Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This lovely set would make a beautiful addition to your collection or a perfect gift. I do try and describe my items accurately.
