Swissmade Unitas 6497 movement, fits ST36 ETA, rare ROSE Gold finish! RUNS WELL

  

For sale is a vintage, 100% genuine Swiss-made Unitas 6497 movement. This movement is in great used vintage condition. There is some minor discolouration and oil staining on the plates and bridges, it doesn't show in the photos very well but it is there. I have not serviced the movement, however, it runs great, only a few seconds +/- here and there. For a movement with unkown service history this is as close as it gets to Bang-on dead accurate!!

I suspect this movement may have been almost never used. Please see photos of the timegrapher reading! Hour wheel and dial washer. Winding stem, casing screws and casing clamps NOT included. I will try to stock these in the future.

This is from Unitas, meaning it pre-dates the ETA takeover of 6498 production; however, this movement is practically identical to those still produced by ETA today. As well as the "clone" movements made by Seagull in China called ST3600. It is cross compatible with both in terms of hands, cases, dials, etc. A great movement for a beginner as it is nice and big and easy to work on! Although this movement was originally designed for pocket watches, it is now almost exclusively used for the large wristwatches that are now fashionable.
