Rare French Antique Majolica Oyster Plate by FIVES-LILLE, Number ed, in tender aqua blue, green, pink colors, circa 1890. Exciting and eye-catching antique French majolica oyster plate circa 1890s of finest quality and craftsmanship. This majolica oyster plate is depicting underwater landscape with seaweed and sea plants, painted in shades of beige, yellow and ocher in-between the wells and on the edges and deep emerald green tone in the wells. With stunning rainbow glittering glaze. This French majolica oyster plates are designed in two levels with lower level featuring six wells for oysters and a mounted round well for lemon in the center.

The outstanding craftsmanship of these plates and the style Arte very similar to the ones of Luneville and St Clement of the same time period. Colors are bright and juicy, the glaze is shiny.

Of glaze wear off and surface scratches coming from normal use in the wells, tiny chips on the back, a few crazing to glaze. Please see the photos for details. Weight 650 gr (23 oz). Parcel normally arrive within 6-8 days to US.
