RARE Pink Floyd OG Handbill Flyer Poster UC San Diego 1970 Hot Tuna Leon Russell

  
For sale is a rare original 1st printing blank-reverse concert handbill flyer for Leon Russell & Hot Tuna with Pink Floyd as the opening act! Date was Sunday 10-18-70 at Matthews Campus (baseball field), University of California at San Diego.

Size is 7.5 x 5.5 inches. Art by Exit, logo in the lower right hand corner. The handbill is printed on medium-thin glossy-coated index stock paper and in great clean condition overall with sharper corners.

Mailed securily in a hard plastic sleeve and bubble mailer. Pink Floyd- touring behind their Atom heart Mother album. Despite their popularity in Europe, Floyd was thrid on the San Diego bill, behind Leon Russell and Hot Tuna. There was a big marijuana protest on the grounds at the same time', recalls one-time concert promotor Dan Tee, a member of UCSD's student body council at the time and one of the people behind the show.

The San Diego date was one of the few where the experimental song "Alan's Psychodelic Breakfast" was performed by the band. It lasted around 20 minutes. "They actually sat at a little folding table and ate for part of the song, " says Tee, "with tapes of voicesand sound effects playing in thebackground".
