"HUGE FLOATING RED JOHNSON ROSE". Stunning design of an elegant huge dark red rose in full bloom with green leaves.

Set on a pale robins egg blue interior and a dark maroon exterior with gold garland filigree details. This is the famous "JOHNSON ROSE" pattern. The cup interior and saucer recess patterns are identical although the saucer recess is a smaller version.

One of the most beautiful cups and saucers I have ever owned. Both cup and saucer are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, other damage or restoration.

Both pieces pass the ping test of bone china perfectly. No wear to the pattern and only a few pin pricks of white showing through on the burgundy which is common with the deeply colored backgrounds.

Cup measures 2 1/8" tall at sides and 2 1/4" to top of handle and is 4 3/4" across including handle; the saucer is 5 1/2" across. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash. This stunning set would make a great addition to your collection. Please remember my items are vintage and not store-bought new and minor wear from age and use is to be expected.
