A spectacular late 18th century antique Georgian diamond cluster ring in a sunburst shape and design, comprising a large and bulging 6mm rose cut / Dutch cut round diamond centerpiece, surrounded by 12 small rose cut and old mine cut diamonds, having average diameters of 1mm each. Although closed set, the dimensions of the center stone are about 7.0x7.8mm (0.27"x0.30") and about 2.5mm (0.1) high. Estimated carat weight of the centerpiece stand alone is in the 0.60-0.65 carat range.
All diamonds are closed set into the gold setting and have an average I-J white color and VS clarity. Total combined diamond weight is approximately 0.70-0.80 carats. The ring is crafted in 15 karat yellow gold and is additionally hand engraved with flower / foliate motifs and swirl decorations. The top face of the ring is nearly perfectly round and measures about 12mm (0.5) in diameter.Gross weight of the ring is 5.3 grams and ring size is 53 (US size 6.5, UK size M), but can easily be resized.
