Rare & Beautiful Opaline Rose Pink Box Antique

  

Beautiful & rare color oval shaped opaline glass box casket mounted in ormolu bronze frame. In person it's a beautiful rose pink color and lights up in the sun light see my 2 photos by a window. Wonderful scrolling leaf gold gilt decoration on top and around body and has a fancy lock plate on front. No key but opens and closes without. Probably dates to the middle 19th century through Victorian period.

Measures 5.5 inches long x 3.75 inches wide and 4 inches tall. Very good condition with some normal gold wear and small losses from age use.

I don't see any chips or cracks. Back hinge is old with piece of raised metal and works fine with just a little tightness when opening & closing.

See some white plaster around underside of bronze frame so don't know if was ever reset on glass. Super box in one of the rarest and most beautiful opaline colors you can find. Also I listed a rare color grape opaline vase mounted as lamp.
