Rare Antique CLICHY True Concentric Millefiori on Lace with3 Pink/Green Roses

  
THIS IS NOT A CHECKER, BUT RATHER A MUCH LESS COMMON TRUE CONCENTRIC MILLEFIORI ON LACE. Many Clichy paperweights that "appear" to be concentric are in fact "linear" designstypically canes set in rows of 3-4-5-4-3 (19 canes) or 4-5-6-7-6-5-4 (37 canes). This paperweight is a true concentric.

A large center Pink and Green rose is encircled by three rings of millefiori canes. A second Pink/Green rose is set in the second ring, and a third is set in the outer ring.

The millefiori canes rest on a White lace ground. NOTE: The canes are NOT outlined by strips of latticinio (a Checker design) but simply rest ON the lace ground. The weight is 2-15/16" in diameter and 1-7/8" high. There is a bit of VERY LIGHT surface wear and a small "dimple" in the side of the dome plus heavy wear to the base rim. Indicating the weight is POSSIBLY IN ORIGINAL CONDITION.
