Rare 1967/68 Red Rose Tea Box for Series 1 Procelain Figurene Promotion +7 Wade

This is an extremely tough to find early Canadian Red Rose Tea box from 1967 or 68 with advertising on the box for the first ever promotion of a series of Wade Whimsey Animal porcelain Figurines. This may be the first ever Red Rose Tea box with advertising for the figurine promotion which was launched in 1967, the box is from the 1967-68. The Series 1 animal figurines started in Canada in 1967 and ran to 71. Included are 7 of the series 1 figurines in excellent condition with no chips or breaks. They each have recessed bases and the "Wade" "England" lettering underneath each figure. The box itself is in fantastic condition for being over 50 years old. Written in both French and English which was standard in Canada and the province of Quebec where this box and the promotion was launched in 1967.
