This Petoskey Stone, or I should say ROCK, was found right on the shores of Lake Michigan in Petoskey. It weighs 13lbs 3oz, about 12 inches long. It has amazing detail and pattern all throughout, rough, and pitted in some spots, but just on the surface. There's a lot of color going on.
Orange and pink from iron, making these rare "pink pets" also some interesting blue and purple? There's not a lot going on on the bottom. This thing is just something else and absolutely stunning.
It's unpolished, only washed, and some mineral oil applied to bring out the detail can easily be washed off. Don't miss this deal. I'm an avid Petoskey Stone hunter, and a find like this can be rare.
