Antique/Vintage Carved Rare Pink Jade or Rose Quartz Dragon
This is an incredible Antique/Vintage Carved RARE "Pink Jade" or Rose Quartz Dragon with a matching Carved Wood Base! This piece is in MINT condition with no breaks, cracks, or repairs! This was acquired from the estate of a wealthy family in Winter Park, FL! At first I thought this was carved from Rose Quartz, but this Feels more like Jade and it's coloring is creamier like really nice Jade...
But I have been known to be wrong! This is Stunning and is a True Heirloom piece to be treasured! I can only imagine the skill it must take to carve such a masterpiece from stone! This Dragon has perfectly carved wings and only 4 toes on each claw! It's tail flares out at the back-kind of resembling a flame or a hand!
There appears to be a gourd on the dragon's back with 2 smaller dragons or "beasts" climbing on the gourd! The Carved Wood Stand measures about 7 inches wide, by 1 inch tall, & is 2 to 2 1/2 inches deep! The actual Dragon Carving is a little over 6 inches wide, by about 6 1/2 inches tall, & is about 1 1/2 inches deep!So altogether this piece stands about 7 1/2 inches tall, by about 7 inches wide, and is approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches deep! There are a couple of "natural" fracture lines in the stone (as photographed in the last picture), but this in No Way affects the stability, beauty, or appeal of this Fantastic Find!
