The Necklace will come in a Ribbon Tied Box and would make a GORGEOUS and ROMANTIC GIFT for Someone Special! A simply beautiful Antique Victorian Bohemian Czech rose pink chunky glass beads statement necklace, as can be seen in the book'Glass Beads From Europe' by Sibylle Jargstorf.

The large chunky round beads were made of Alabaster Glass to look like Rose Quartz - and very realistic they are too! The Czech's were expert at mimicking precious stones with glass, and this is no exception - it looks exactly like the real thing, but you can tell it isn't because if you look closely through a jewellers loupe, there are air bubbles present. These types of imitated gemstones are becoming more collectable than real gemstones.

The beads are in wonderful condition. They are pretty much uniform in size (as near as you can get with hand-made glass).

The necklace is on the original thread and is hand-knotted denoting quality. It fastens with a silver filigree push-in clasp, set with a matching cabochon. It comes from Gablonz, in the old Kingdom of Bohemia and is considered'Rare' according to the book.

Everything is ALL ORIGINAL Measures approximately: 18.25 or 46.5cm The beads measure approximately 11.4mm - 12.5mm. A Highly Sought After Piece! In Excellent Original Antique Condition Thank you for looking.
