Offered here are TWO - Hard-To-Find RARE Vintage Anchor Hocking, Fire-King Brand, ROSE-ITE Swirl Pattern, Shell-Pink tinted Milk-Glass, Berry Bowls - in near Mint MOST-EXCELLENT barely-used (if at all) condition. The COLOUR is deep and creamy Shell-Pink NO FADE. ALL SURFACES are highly-glossy, shiny, and clean.
There are NO chips, cracks, flea bites; NO stains, hazing, significant rubs nor scratches. There are the tiniest specks of colour within the glass due to manufacturing; possible incidental contact marks.Are each embossed concentrically on their center base - OVEN; MADE IN USA; Fire-King; WARE. Products have varied in information, script, and case from the 1940s until now. The information embossed on these Bowls correlates to the 1950s.
Measures - 5" in diameter, across the top edge; 1 1/2" in height; 2 3/4 in diameter, across the base seat-rim. Anchor-Hocking Fire King ROSE-ITE Pattern. Rarest-of-Rare; Hard to Find - Fire-King "ROSE-ITE (Solid SHELL-PINK Tinted Colour Glass) Swirl". NOT to be confused with Fire-King "Pink Swirl" where a pink-glaze is applied as a top-coat of colour and pieces have a white base-colour, as seen on the center-bottom.
Was made by the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation using a formula that produced durable, heat-proof glassware. Some pieces were embossed with the name Fire-King, and others carried identifying foil labels. Fire-King colours included Jade-ite, Azur-ite, ROSE-ite, Turquoise Blue, Sapphire Blue, Ivory, Royal Ruby, Forest Green, and Milk White, along with many fired-on colors and decorations. The script and details included in the back-stamp varied in information, script, and case through time for Anchor-Hocking useful for dating items.
Molds were used until the embossed information needed to be updated or until the information was no longer legible. The stylized "H-over-Anchor" logo - introduced in 1937 - was phased-out for the "boxed anchor" by 1977 - the new logo began to appear in 1968 - BUT - it took a while for all molds to be replaced with the new embossing.
